Toasties is a gourmet sandwich shop founded by a local San Francisco family that has a tradition of opening some of the city’s best liked and highly reviewed restaurants. It started out in West Portal as an idea for a small shop that would offer a healthy lunch to local business owners and busy shoppers. It has since become a neighborhood phenomenon that attracts young and old clientele from all over the city who want a tasty meal that’s not heavy on calories and is served by a friendly staff. Over the years, the Irving Street location has expanded its menu to include a larger assortment of sandwiches, ice cream, and will soon be offering breakfast.
We have multiple Toasties locations with one shop still residing in West Portal and one shop on Irving Street in the bustling Inner Sunset district. Restaurants from the same founders would include the highly acclaimed PPQ located on Clement Street in the Richmond District. PPQ is also very well known for its delicious crab creations and up scale Vietnamese cuisine. There is not a bad item on the menu.
Come in to either of our local Toasties locations for a fast, nutritious pick me up on the way to shopping, a day in Golden Gate Park, or your maiden voyage to the new Academy of Sciences. We would like to be your first choice for great tasting toasted sandwiches in San Francisco.
